holy shit what a crazy seven days ive had and now its the weekend again.
it started last Thursday with my radio show on 95bFM , then hit the casino with a mate. we didnt go to gamble but to drink, watch all the zombified slotslaves mope around and make use of the cheap parking.
on the mission up to krd we stopped in at a dairy to pick up some herbels. this was the first time i have done party pills in years, they were ok but made me drink alot.
we went to Studio where MSTRKRFT were playing. their set was epic as, with very little breakdowns in the tracks and a tune selection that stuck hard with electro. they finished with Bohemian Rhapsody which in context was cool.
I went to beautiful Whangamata for the weekend and on the way back we broke down in Ramarama which is about 45minutes away from home and a real long distance when the car wont work...
a couple days later Metronomy played at the Monte Cristo room in Auckland. this was crazy for a Tuesday night, with people hanging from the rafters and everyone getting into the party feel of the night .
RadioLadio, My Heartbeat Rapid and Holiday were stand out tracks for me as Metronomy worked through a 50 min set.
Moron Says What?! played a high energy set first, but this only lasted about 25 mins. this was a shame as everyone was getting real into the music and then they ended. whether it was because they ran out of songs or because metronomy needed 45mins to set their gear up is beyond me.
now its time for the weekend again.
head to Cassette No.9 tonight for a massive gig with Disasteradio and dj sets from Cut Off Your Hands, Computers Want Me Dead and North Shore Pony Club.
and Coherent is shaping up to be a biggie on saturday with
James Ohh! Phil Haeder, Ant Sanford, BAM, Aaron Pony and Myself
